ZATCA Phase 2 · Fatoora integration

ZATCA Phase 2, built into the system that raises the invoice.

ZATCA brings taxpayers into Phase 2 in waves and notifies each wave in advance. From your date, every tax invoice must be generated in XML, stamped, and cleared or reported through the Fatoora platform. DIRAC ERP and PosBytz do this natively, and both run it in production today.

What Phase 2 asks of every invoice

  1. 1

    Onboard each invoicing unit

Every system that issues invoices registers with ZATCA through a certificate signing request and receives its cryptographic stamp identifier.

  2. 2

Generate XML with a cryptographic stamp

Invoices are produced in UBL 2.1 XML, stamped, and chained to the previous invoice by its hash.

  3. 3

Clear B2B invoices before they reach the buyer

Standard tax invoices go to ZATCA for clearance in real time; only the cleared invoice is shared with the customer.

  4. 4

Report B2C invoices within 24 hours

Simplified tax invoices are issued at the till with a QR code and reported to ZATCA within 24 hours.

  5. 5

    Keep the archive

Invoices, credit and debit notes stay stored and retrievable for audits.

Questions buyers ask

Straight answers on compliance, hosting, timelines and what we build versus represent.

How do we know our wave date?

ZATCA notifies each taxpayer in advance of its integration wave. Bring the notification to the readiness check and we plan backwards from that date.

Do simplified invoices need clearance?

No. Simplified (B2C) invoices are reported within 24 hours of issue. Standard (B2B) tax invoices are cleared before they are shared with the buyer.

Can we keep our current ERP?

If your ERP cannot integrate with ZATCA, a common route is to move finance and invoicing to DIRAC first and the remaining modules over time. We assess this in the readiness check.

What happens if we miss the deadline?

ZATCA can apply penalties for non-compliance, and your customers may reject invoices that are not cleared. Starting early leaves time for testing in the simulation environment.
